Emily's acting career began in the theater, and that remains a passion. She recently performed in "The Vagina Monologues" and "The Trial of the Catonsville Nine," the latter with her castmates from "The Young and the Restless." She was a finalist in the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Irene Ryan Acting Competition, and won a 3rd place award for Othello in the DTASC Shakespeare Festival.
Her theater experience provided a solid foundation for working on daytime television in "The Young and the Restless," where she has portrayed Jana Hawkes since 2006, and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series. She enters the world of new media with a series of mobisodes called "Coma," and recently worked with digital animation company Image Metrics, becoming the new face of animation.
Theatre:
Emily's roles have ranged from Cosette in "Les Miserables," to Hodel in "Fiddler on the Roof," and Gypsy Rose Lee in "Gypsy."
Film & Television:
Bad Jana is much more fun to play than Good Jana...Emily plays the mysterious Jana Hawkes on "The Young and the Restless."
