Welcome to my Fan Club!
My fans are the reason that I am still on the "The Young and the Restless." Without you there would be no Jana Hawkes, and so I thank all of you for giving me the opportunities that I've had.
Jana is an absolutely lovely part to play. Her spontaneity and complexity are what make her fun and interesting. Sometimes I wish I possessed some of her qualities, such as how adventurous and extroverted she is, so this role allows me to explore sides to myself that I didn't even know I had.
In addition to Y & R, I have been working for a company that does animation for video games and films. They are creating a completely lucid, digitally animated character that will share all of my physical characteristics. It's remarkable how they are able to do it: I sat in a light stage for a few hours, holding different facial expressions while they flashed 15 different lights on my face from different angles. Plus I did numerous sessions in front of green screens performing with a headcam.
In addition to acting, I love to sing and cook (more on that soon!), and I am absolutely infatuated with the past, especially the `30s, `40s and `50s. The music, the clothing, the movie stars, the language...it's so classic. I am always trying to find ways to re-create it. As a matter of fact, here is a wonderful photo shoot with me as Audrey Hepburn.
I'm really just your everyday person with a great passion for the arts, and I'm lucky that I've been able to make that my career. I will try my best to be faithful to all my fans, and be true to whatever I present.
